LET'S WORK TOGETHER TO BRING ST. PETE...

MORE JOBS, MORE FRIENDS & MORE COOL STUFF

“We need responsible leaders who know how to harness our growth into great paying jobs, prosperous neighborhoods, and state-of-the-art infrastructure.  This is a special moment in time for our city, and I know I can bring capabilities and experience that would nicely complement the skills of existing city council members to help accomplish what our city needs. I can’t wait to get started.”

MEET TOM

Tom was raised in suburban Chicago and is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, and also holds an MBA from Dartmouth College.  Tom is one of a small group of officers that have been with Raymond James since the late-1980s. Over that period, the firm has grown to become the single largest provider of highly compensated jobs in the Tampa Bay region, and Raymond James and its employees are together the largest supporters of arts, cultural and charitable organizations in the area by far. For most of the last 20 years, Tom has led the firm’s investment banking practice for the Transport and Infrastructure industries, where he has developed particular expertise in the environmental service and transport sectors.

Tom and his wife Andi have been married for 24 years, and their two children are now both in college.  In his free time, Tom can be found playing basketball in city leagues and pickup games in rec centers and playgrounds all over St. Pete.

WHY TOM'S RUNNING

Tom brings skills in the areas of financial management, global business experience, expertise in the transport and environmental services sectors, and +30 years of capital markets experience that includes significant interaction with the global infrastructure funds that provide the money behind much of the new infrastructure being built in the U.S. today.  His career at Raymond James has taken him to every corner of the U.S. and he has worked for clients in more than 30 other countries on four continents.  Through this experience, Tom earned valuable ground-level perspective on which cities have high-performing municipal governance and which are trending badly.  More than ever, it is clear that competent municipal governance matters, and Tom has ideas to help St. Petersburg continue to thrive now and into the future.
